About Recognition for ALL
In 2007, after more than forty years in charities and social businesses our founder David Sorrill decided to set up Recognition for ALL. Over the years he had become more and more aware of people living out quiet acts of extraordinary heroism and commitment, and also people who had achieved something which was special and beyond the reach of most others of us.
While a very few of these persons received formal acknowledgement of what they had achieved most did not. David therefore set about providing a meaningful way of recognising the achievements of people in every day life by utilising the Internet and Recognition for ALL was born.
Our mission statement clearly states our aims and objectives:
"Recognition for ALL exists to publicly recognise and celebrate, by the issuing of certificates and the maintaining of an online Scroll of Honour, the achievements of those persons who have been outstanding in demonstrating one or more of the qualities of courage, devotion, commitment, loyalty, persistence, integrity, creativity, skill, faith, hope and love."
Although based in the UK, we are international in our approach and not bound by national humanmade borders. We welcome applications from any citizen of any country.
And finally, we operate on the basis of trust, expecting the best in terms of honesty and integrity from all who apply to Recognition for ALL.
